Founded in 2002
Advanced Ambulatory, Inc. (AAI) has grown from a small, privately held Texas-based company providing the most basic of surgical services and medical devices to carrying a line of the most prestigious and cutting edge medical products & devices. Though the groups’s primary focus is Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, our supported specialties range far beyond to include dermatology, OB/GYN, hair restoration, pain management orthopedics & even regenerative medicine.
Our Story
We pride ourselves on forming close relationships with our physicians and staff, and get to know how their practices work, and what their needs are – We are there from demonstration to sale, from sale to delivery, from delivery to education and training AND beyond. Many of our customers have been just that for more than 15 years, and today are also our friends. We not only want to sell the physician that leading innovative device, but have them become skilled experts who then can lead their peers to us, and these innovative devices!
Our team is comprised of sales representatives who know their stuff - have surgical experience. They know the area they are servicing and the ins and outs of their field. Our in-house staff is responsive, talented and provide the know-how and can-do attitudes to make sure the most important people - our customers, are well taken care of. Whether you are purchasing the most basic device or highly technical, multi-platform capital purchase, know that the team at AAI is here for you, every step of the way.
Meet The Team
In alignment with our company mission of improving patient outcomes as well as the surgical experience, I have spent the last several years helping our company acquire devices and technologies that I believed could be improved upon.
My passion has always been to make things better, more beautiful and more efficient. I guide our team and industry partners to re-think, reengineer and rebuild our products from the ground up . I am fortunate to have a team of co-workers with this same passion....we roll up our sleeves every day knowing we can do better for our partners, our surgeons and our patients. Rob Pupelis
Founder & CEO
Chad graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehab.
He began his aesthetic career in 1999 with Medical Alliance where he became the Operations Manager for South Texas and Louisiana. From there, Chad became one of the original team members of AAI. Chad’s primary focus is on fat grafting,
T-Stat and Crown Aesthetics.
Chad lives in Needville, TX with his wife, Carrie and two children, Carter and Chaise along with their dog, Rocky and cat, Twinkle.

Zach has proudly been a part of the AAI team since 2005. Zach’s experience started with laser technology and evolved over the years into sales of office based, aesthetic, and surgical products. He takes great pride in being a valuable resource for his practitioners. The most rewarding part of his work is seeing his practices grow while obtaining dynamic results for their patients. Zach obtained his B.S. with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He resides in the Houston Heights neighborhood with his wife, Amanda, daughter, Campbell, son, Miles, and one unruly French Bulldog named Norman.

Vice President
A founding partner, Leia Cromwell brings more than 30 years medical device experience to AAI, and was consistently recognized for outstanding sales performance during her tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, Stryker, and Mentor Corporation.
Leia holds a B.A. in Psychology and Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University, as well as a minor in English. Ms. Cromwell serves in the St. Michael Women’s Guild, PTO of St. Michael Catholic School, and the Junior League of Houston. She enjoys spending free time with her family; husband, Bob and daughters, Lily and Margaret, as well as friends at their home on Galveston Bay.

Terri, a Texas native, grew up in West Texas and is a graduate of Texas Tech. She's been in medical sales since 2001. She loved the diversity that AAI offers; both OR sales and office sales. She's known by her hospitals as "T-Stat Terri". She's been a part of the AAI team since 2015. In her spare time, she loves traveling with her husband Rick, and spending time with her kids and new grandson Max.

Mayra Guardado

Born In Houston, TX, Adrian graduated from St. Thomas Episcopal School and went on to Texas A&M University, where he completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronics Systems Engineering. With former experience in an electronic parts distribution position and a lifelong passion for tinkering, Adrian is ready to dive head-long into product development and improvement.
Adrian achieved the Scout Rank of Eagle Scout prior to his High School graduation and has transferred the resulting work ethic and helpful nature into the Medical Device Industry.
“I am driven to design quality products with features that improve our users’ and patient’s experiences. Working with the entire AAI team has been an absolute joy, the feedback we receive from reps and users helps us push our innovation.”
When Adrian isn’t spending time with his girlfriend, Chloe, you can find him in his carpentry workshop, playing with his pets (6 all together), or fixing anything that can be.

Morgan Duffey
Marketing Manager
My name is Laura Guardado and I joined the AAI family in 2018. I am responsible for maximizing the overall efficiency of our organization and coordinating our CEO’s schedule. I am also secondary support of Customer Service when needed, helping with order processing and communication.
I am grateful to work in a caring environment where we continue to evolve and acquire new knowledge. We are always looking for ways to improve for our customers.
I reside in West Houston, with my husband and our growing family. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and creating new memories with our children.

Samantha grew up in El Paso, TX and is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Communcations & Journalism. She joined the AAI team in 2019 and has appreciated working with a fun, and caring group of people whose combined goal everyday is to better the offices and partners they serve.
Samantha lives in Houston, TX with her husband Ryan and two doodles Boone and Scout. In her spare time she enjoys training for CrossFit competitions, spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling.
